Wedding Wednesday: Engagement Photos

Okay, so of course this post was going to be incredibly picture heavy, but maybe even more so since narrowing it down to even this many was really difficult. I was pretty apprehensive about taking our engagement photos. I put it off for a long time and hadn't found a photographer I clicked with yet. I've been following Jordan for awhile on Instagram. I read her blog and was using her Bible study for journaling. I fell in LOVE with her photography and just the way she captures love on camera. When I reached out, I found out she'd be in Arizona in just a few short weeks.

We met up with her and her fiance at Papago Park in Phoenix just before sunset. My dress was a periwinkle high low from Junky Trunk. It's currently sold out, but I'll keep checking for a restock to link. I wore my favorite Jeffrey Campbell Wedges and of course as we started climbing higher up I switched into my Tory Burch Miller Flip Flops. I accessorized with Kendra Scott studs and Alex and Ani bracelets. (These are still on super sale at Nordstrom till next week too.) Vance wore a black blazer, white button down, jeans, and Aldo shoes. We ended up only staying in one outfit as sunset approached quickly and we wanted to get as many shots as possible.

Jordan made us feel 100% comfortable even though Vance wasn't too keen on the idea of having romantic photos taken. She really got to know us which made everything feel natural. She directed us, made us laugh, and never let us feel pose-y. She just kept clicking away and let me just say I've actually never felt so beautiful in my life as when I got the first photos back. I couldn't love them more! She captured us impeccably and I know I'll treasure these photos for the rest of our lives. I cannot wait for her to photograph our wedding day. Now onto trying to choose ones for Save the Dates...she just gave us SO many to choose from. What an incredible blessing to have so many options. If you're looking for an amazing photographer with a dreamy and romantic style that captures your love in the most organic way, Simply Jordan Lee Photography is everything you've been looking for and so much more! 1. The decor at this place is absolutely beautiful. In terms of decor, this is definitely a big step above a typical wedding venue. It's spacious, breathable, and absolutely glowing. They can bring in an open bar as well into chicago wedding venues.

  2. The prices were very reasonable, and the flowers were very high quality. The only sustainable florist in New York, believe it or not. The San Francisco Florist really care about sourcing locally and organically.
