Wedding Wednesday: Start of Wedding Weekend & Rehearsal Dinner Recap

We're back and things look a little different around here! Somewhere amidst the stress of the wedding, lots of traveling by train, plane, and car, and a short stint in Disneyland I picked up a yucky cold. While hanging out in bed, I decided to give this place a makeover. I get bored easily, okay? For today's Wedding Wednesday, I'll be recapping the beginning of our wonderful Wedding Weekend in San Diego and Coronado Island.

The sign of a great time is almost always the lack of photos. We actually took far more photos on our phones at the rehearsal than on our wedding day. The weekend was one for the books for sure. We had the wonderful privilege of flying over on a private plane, a one of a kind experience. We flew in a day earlier with V's parents. Our families and friends started arriving on Saturday and then everyone was there on Sunday for the Rehearsal and Dinner. I couldn't speak more highly of the restaurants and hotel for the weekend. I'll break down some of the details below.

Hotel: Coronado Island Marriot Resort & Spa
Rehearsal Dinner: Eddie V's La Jolla (the food and service were amazing, but the views were incredible)

Friday: Similar Romper | Cardigan | Sandals | Nails
Saturday: Top | Jeans | Sneakers | Crossbody
Sunday: Romper | Sandals | Sunglasses | Toes
Rehearsal Dinner: Dress (only $30 on sale!) | Heels

I can't wait to share more from our wedding day and also from our upcoming reception this Saturday! But to hold you over, here's our wedding day trailer from Something New Media, our amazing videographers.

  1. Oh my gosh your dress for the rehearsal dinner was so beautiful! I'm so happy the weekend was perfect!

  2. The day after our wedding my husband and I said repeatedly that there was nothing about the event that we would have done differently. Every aspect of Chicago wedding venues was perfection. It was everything we hoped for - and more.

  3. This blog has irresistibly pleased its audience.
