Charlotte's Nursery Reveal

This post has been a long time coming! I've actually had these pictures for a few weeks now as Darian Clouse Photography took these amazing photos with the newborn session (which you'll also see in this post). The nursery has been a true labor of love. C coming 3 weeks early made this process much more drawn out than I had planned. Shout out to my brother who came over for hours on his day off to finish the mess I made of the wall with his saw the day before this shoot. It turned out even better than I dreamed of in my inspiration post with a few surprise touches (and some hiccups) that I didn't plan for. Everything will be linked below.

My brother actually took my name design and cut that out of wood before painting it with rose gold metallic paint. It actually saved me over a hundred dollars from ordering a custom one on Etsy that you pay by the letter. (Go get you a brother like that haha)

Don't get me started on my love for the Royal Hippo collection. My mom and I were picking up my pouf at Crate and Barrel when we fell in love with the hippos. I'm so pleased that it came together with the nursery! She is just so cute.

Okay, so this quote and this frame is one of my favorite pieces in the entire nursery. Almost eight years ago, my best friend, Courtney, and I met as camp counselors for my old eighth grade humanities camp. We took our first picture together in front of a wall with this quote painted on it. She has remained one of my best friends and gifted me a letter at my baby shower explaining that this was on it's way. I cried a lot and even writing this now, I'm getting teary thinking of how meaningful this gift was and how meaningful Aunt Coco is to both me and Charlotte.

PS. Yes I know the shelves are crooked. Try having no patience AND being eight months pregnant, it's a bad combo for detail oriented things. All of these books were gifted with notes to C and this tiny banjo was from her "first" trip to Nashville. I wanted something special to bring home and I picked this up at none other than the American Girl Store because duh.

  1. So cute Charlotte's Nursery Reveal post! I am totally in love with each and everything. The décor is heart throbbing and it is the exact style that I was thinking for my baby too. Even I recently got a unicorn themed baby shower from my mom at a nearby party venue and she has gifted all of the décor supplies that I can use for nursery décor.
